Midnight, in taxi to the hospital, a dozen minutes or so, and this long,
long journey will be at an end. Over 29 hours since I began this
journey...
The taxi driver listens to taiwanese folk songs, the melody and lyrics
of which bring me sentiments of home, bring me close to tears...
Almost there, almost there... I'm almost there, mum...
